This past Wednesday, Pearl Jam‘s Mike McCready was joined by ex-Screaming Trees drummer Barrett Martin at a benefit show in Seattle where the two performed the Mad Season single “River Of Deceit”. The two were joined by Duff McKagan’s Loaded‘s Jeff Rouse on vocals and bassist Rick Friel. You can see video footage of the performance below.
In a recent interview, McCready stated that he plans on reissuing the band’s sole album Above, which was released in 1995, as well as possibly touring later this year. There are also plans to release a live album. But perhaps the sexiest nugget of information is that there are apparently unreleased tracks in the vault that he’d like to see finished and released. GrungeReport has an article that suggests that ex-Screaming Trees vocalist Mark Lanegan is going to take over singing duties for the new material, replacing late Alice In Chains singer Layne Staley.
