Richard Lynch 6 19 12 RIP Genre Vet Richard Lynch (1940 2012)

Richard Lynch appeared in over 140 films and TV series’ before his death yesterday. No causes are yet known, but he was 72 years old at the time of his passing. His final appearance will likely be in Rob Zombie’s The Lords of Salem (which is now in post-production) and it was Zombie himself who broke the news this morning on his Facebook page stating, “I woke up this morning to the news that our friend Richard Lynch has passed away. Richard was great to work with and really gave it his all. I will never forget the way he scared the crap out of the kid actors in ‘Halloween’. As soon as I said action! He dove in his role of Principle Chambers at top volume. He will be missed.

Some of Lynch’s notable roles include 2007′s Halloween, Invasion U.S.A., Trancers 2, 1987′s “Werewolf” TV series and The Sword And The Sorcerer.

I forgot he was in Werewolf, I do remember Trancers. There’s no forgetting Trancers.

And let’s not forget the MST classic Werewolf. “A warwulf? How absolutely fascinating.” Seriously, though, it is a bummer. I remember him creeping me out in Bad Dreams, as a kid.

Man, that sucks. He was always an interesting actor , even if the film was nothing special. Cut and Run and The Seven-Ups are 2 of my faves. R.I.P

sad news. i remember seeing BAD DREAMS (with ELM ST. III: DREAM WARRIORS’ Jennifer Rubin) in which he co-starred and he was so convincing, creepy & effective as the psycho cult leader! my condolences to his family and friends.
