To celebrate Friday the 13th here is the exclusive first look at the official trailer for April Mullen’s Dead Before Dawn 3D!
Dead Before Dawn 3D follows college kids that accidentally unleash an evil curse that causes people to kill themselves and turn into Zombie Demons, aka Zemons. The horror/comedy starring Christopher Lloyd (Back to the Future) and Devon Bostick (Diary of a Wimpy Kids series) has been gaining a lot of momentum and has a tone that some are describing as Shaun of the Dead meets The Goonies.
The film is set to release in late fall. It was written by Tim Doiron, who also produces with Mullen.
Dead Before Dawn 3D was shot from start to finish in Stereoscopic 3D, making it the first live-action, fully Canadian Stereoscopic 3D feature. Not only that, director April Mullen, from Niagara Falls, is now the youngest and only woman ever to direct a film of this kind.
Lloyd plays the occult shop-running grandfather of Casper Galloway, played by Devon Bostick. The ensemble cast includes Martha MacIsaac (Superbad), Brandon Jay McLaren (Tucker and Dale vs. Evil), Brittany Allen (All My Children), Kevin McDonald (Kids in the Hall), Ellen Dubin (Napoleon Dynamite) Tim Doiron (Rock, Paper, Scissors: the Way of the Tosser) , April Mullen (History of Violence) and Rossif Sutherland.
The Dead Before Dawn 3D team, including Christopher Lloyd, will be heading to FAN EXPO (Toronto) to unleash some Zemon fun; signing autographs and doing a panel on the making of the film.
