[OMFG] Watch The ‘Silent Hill: Revelation 3D’ Comic-Con Clip “Nurse Attack” NOW!

It was recently announced that Open Road Films had acquired all U.S. distribution rights to Silent Hill: Revelation 3D, the highly anticipated sequel to 2006’s film Silent Hill, released by TriStar Pictures. Silent Hill: Revelation 3D will be released wide October 26, 2012 in time for Halloween, but today Open Road took to the San Diego Comic-Con to share the first ever footage from the video game adaptation. Inside you’ll find the clip entitled “Nurse Attack”, then tell us what you think? How excited are you?!

Directed by Michael J. Bassett (Solomon Kane, Deathwatch), original cast members Sean Bean (HBO’s Game Of Thrones, Lord Of The Rings), Deborah Kara Unger (The Game, 88 minutes, The Samaritan) and Radha Mitchell (Man On Fire, The Crazies, upcoming The Frozen Ground) return in Silent Hill: Revelation 3D, starring along with rising stars Adelaide Clemens (X-Men Origins, upcoming The Great Gatsby, No One Lives) and Kit Harington (HBO’s Game Of Thrones) as well as Carrie-Anne Moss (The Matrix, Disturbia, NBC’s Chuck) and Malcolm McDowell (A Clockwork Orange, The Artist).

In Silent Hill: Revelation 3D, Heather Mason (Clemens) and her father (Bean) have been on the run, always one step ahead of dangerous forces that she doesn’t fully understand. On the eve of her 18th birthday, plagued by horrific nightmares and the disappearance of her father, Heather discovers she’s not who she thinks she is. The revelation leads her deeper into a demonic world that threatens to trap her forever.

this looks fuckin amazing. I hope it’ll be as solid as the first one.

  • pyrepunk

Looks like it’s going to be awesome, I wonder if they are going to do the apartment in the third or will they do the Homecoming story of silent hill. I liked downpour and hope they put it in the movie series sometime as well. Screw origins though, I didn’t care much for that one. I’m so freaking ready to see Robbie The Rabbit though 😀

I’m surprised how fucking good this is looking! Sure, it’s not as beautifully shot as the original, but I’m pretty sure they’re still gonna knock it out of the park (it’s pretty badass that they went almost completely practical with the monster FX). I’m hearing an additional clip shown at ComicCon features a fucking mannequin-spider. Now I’d like to lay my eyes on that.

The nurses don’t know how to stay still. Lol. It’s was kinda cheesy.

count me in to! this clip looks fucking awesome! i was a bit worried about this movie and it’s quality since it seemed to be finished but stuck in limbo or something but after seeing this clip i’m %100 optimistic that we have a fucking worthy sequel to the awesome 1st movie and fucking good movie in and of itself!! i can’t wait!

Are we all watching the same thing? Because that clip made me cringe. As mentioned, I have no idea how the director could have found these shots of the nurses clearly moving acceptable. In addition, the male actor was cringe-worthy over acting. It was SAW-like standard. Thirdly, the female actress doesn’t seem frightened by their predicament, no convincing sense of urgency, & how the hell did she instantly figure out & in a split second knew where to grab the knife?! “We need a knife!” Give me a break. They telepathically knew to maneuver the table against a number of the nurses as well. This has sloppy, & rushed job written all over it. Terrible acting, no real build for suspense, slow motion shots… y’know, the things that made the first one refreshing was how well acted it was by the whole cast. How scenes were set up, the build up of suspense, ….I just re-watched the nurse scene from the first one on YouTube, & that my friends, was AWESOME. This particular clip, certainly was not.

In short, this felt like SAW meets Hunger Games.

  • Darkness001’s looking better than I thought it would be. Now I’m excited for the sequel.

first silent hill was pretty epic – the atmosphere was creepy and well made. This one looks promising – but i would have loved to see a trailer too!

@starbreaker, we don’t know why Heather isn’t freaking out at this point in the movie. she’s obviously been in this SH world long enough to know monsters/freaky shit is happening. and she seems pretty freaking scared to me when the nurses are attacking. the actor, Kit Harington, in my opinion was pitch perfect in this clip (he’s an excellent actor. just watch the huge hit show GAME OF THRONES and you’ll see). regarding the knife, do you think Heather just teleported in there? no, she obviously snuck in to the room to (to confront Vincent) and saw the TONS OF KNIVES & WEAPONS ON THE FLOOR. lol. grabbing a knife to cut a restraint seems logical to me and using whatever is around (the gourney that Vincent WAS STILL ATTACHED TO!) to hold back the onslaught of nurses…not unreasonable. my point i guess is (and i should be careful of this too, since i love this clip) this clip is taken out of context of what’s going on in the events the film not mention that the clip is (i’m pretty sure) edited down for comic-con. also director Bassett didn’t have anywhere near the budget to work with that the first film had (from what i understand).

  • djblack1313

@starbreaker, i forgot, at least in this new scene the nurses don’t look like they are performing a Michael Jackson-esque “Thriller” type dance routine like the nurses did in the 1st movie. lol. again, i love the first movie but you can’t tell me that the DANCERS they hired to play the nurses didn’t come across like….DANCERS they hired to play the nurses. so that scene (from SH1) is far from perfect. in fact IMO it’s the only scene in that movie that still to this day makes me cringe.

  • kevnk

wow starbreaker, i mean im hanging onto judgments till i see more, but you get all those complaints from that quick clip? hating just to hate?
also what did ya mean about “I have no idea how the director could have found these shots of the nurses clearly moving acceptable.”? the nusrses dont turn to stone when its quiet. they stop and kinda teeter there for a sec…like a body would..

  • dc6

Please, I don’t understand what Vincent says after “In the sanctuary”… Someone understood this part? 🙁
(just to clarify: I do not speak fluent English, and was trying to translate this clip for some friends.)
