Japanese band B’z has just released their first English album, a self-titled EP (iTunes) consisting of five tracks including “Into Free-Dangan-“, which is featured in the video game Dragon’s Dogma. The rock duo, comprised of guitarist Tak Matsumoto and vocalist Koshi Inaba, formed in 1988 and have since gone on to sell over 80 million CDs and chart 46 consecutive #1 singles.
The band will be embarking on a brief N. American tour. Matsumoto explains, “This will be our fourth U.S. tour. We love playing for American audiences, and are excited to share our first English-language release with our fans.” Tour dates are below.
Tak Matsumoto also just became the fifth guitarist in the world to get a Gibson signature guitar. While I’m not usually one for signature guitars, I have to admit that his is pretty damn sexy. If anyone wants to buy me one for my birthday, I wouldn’t object.
