HBO has just wrapped the second to last episode of “True Blood” and has set the stage for another vampire war.

The season finale of “True Blood” Season 5, Episode 12, “Save Yourself” airs Sunday, Aug. 26 at 9 p.m. on HBO.

In the finale, “Eric (Alexander Skarsgård) embarks on a final, desperate mission to overthrow the Authority – and save Bill from losing his humanity. It was written by Alan Ball and directed by Michael Lehmann. Will you guys be sticking around for Season 6? Should I have given this season a chance?

I get why you bailed on the show. Season 2 was 60% snoozefest (maryanne) and 40% greatness (Jason and the Christians). Season 3 was cool (Russel) and 4 was pretty awful in retrospect. However, 5 has definitely redeemed itself and been outright great in all aspects. The Ifrit storyline was pretty decent and done away with by episode 7 or 8, and only took up 4 – 5 mins per episode max in time to tie up the main story. Season 5 is in line with how good 1 was if not far better. I’d say get back into it with season 5 and you’ll be surprised how much fat has been trimmed, how better the show is and how better it is now they’re concentrating on Vampires again.

Yeah … The first few episodes this year started slow, but the last 3/4 I would say are among the best episodes they have have since the beginning. I almost quit, too, about episode 3 … glad I didn’t !!

Are you kidding me! This show is gone to absolute crap! Weres(so-called werewolves) are the vampire’s drug-addicted, pussified, rednecked, little bitches! The main female lead is a stupid, slutty, dumb as hell, bimbo. This show has too many storylines that are boring, crappy, and dumb as hell!

  • djblack1313

no, this show is fucking awesome! i admit i hated season 3 and found season 4 to be just ok but this season is pitch perfect. and i must say the actress playing Eric’s sister is fucking GORGEOUS! just sayin’.

  • king2wolves

So are the Weres Bad-asses that can kill vamps and are not the vampire’s little bitches? Does the main lead make the right choices and doesn’t look like a dumb-ass? And how many story-lines did you like?

    • Nothing333

All of the above and none of it

      • king2wolves

        Please, elaborate.

Since you were so wrong about your assumption by purely watching the preview to judge…..yeah you should have been watching instead of writing about something with no firsthand info. Last nights ep was pure genius

I loved last nights episode! It was amazing and I am so excited for the finale. I loved Seasons 1-3 (Russell is so funny and one of my fav characters.) I also really enjoyed Season 4 although it was my least fav. The show in my opinion has never been boring and its what a vampire show should be like. I do not find that it has too many storylines, it is super easy to follow along with the different stories. Sookie, I find can be very selfish and causes most of the problems herself but she has also done good, so to call her a bimbo is a little out of line, as she is not….she is pretty smart but selfish like I said. I can’t wait for the next season..LOVE TRUE BLOOD!

Alright, i’ll give you that one about Sookie. The Weres, on the other hand, are pathetic. The only reason Alcide, and Jackson, were able to kill the vamps was because their baby vamps and they didn’t even turn into wolves and gone werewolf on the vamps; they used weapons armed with wooded ammmunition.

As for the side-stories, i quess thats personal preference.
