Sigourney Weaver Still Wants To Fight ‘Aliens’

Published

on

In a recent interview for Aliens‘ 25th anniversary, Sigourney Weaver decided it was time to get the rumor mill going again – with Ghostbusters III stuck in development hell, do you blame her? – and expressed her never-dying interest in returning to the intergalactic franchise.

I could definitely kick that alien’s ass again. While I can’t speak for them, I think for Fox, once you’re sixty, you’re not going to be starring in an action movie. I think it’s too bad that that’s the case,” she said.

Alien: Resurrection left a bitter taste in everyone’s mouth and the Alien vs. Predator flicks didn’t do a potential sequel any favors. Still, if Prometheus destroys the box office, it could breathe life back into the project. Weaver even has an idea for how to wrap things up in Alien 5. “I would have liked to do one last story where we go back to the planet, where Ripley’s history is resolved. But I do feel like her story is unfinished.
