TV: [Next On] AMC Previews ‘The Walking Dead’ Episode 6

The Walking Dead

We’re nearly the halfway point of the second season of “The Walking Dead” and I can’t say I’m overly impressed. I know everyone is still excited to finally have a zombie series on mainstream TV (as am I!), but at some point you have to say “why am I so freaking bored?” Between “Mad Men” and “Breaking Bad,” you have to wonder why “The Walking Dead” is failing to have the same impact as those soon to be iconic series. Still, I’m sticking with AMC’s live-action adaptation of Kirkman’s awesome comic in hopes that the next arc is as badass as it is in print. There are some really cool characters that should soon come into play and I expect demand better character development (there’s no reason Shane should be the most exciting and charismatic character).

With that said, we’ve got the plot crunch for the sixth episode, along with a few new stills. What do you guys think of season two thus far? Is it living up to the hype for you? Episode 2.06 – “Secrets” (11/20/11 Air Date)

Secrets are told and secrets are revealed. Hershel refuses to acknowledge the world’s new reality. Andrea comes out of her shell. Everyone is becoming more and more aware that “everything is food for something.”

In this latest season of AMC’s “The Walking Dead” TV series, the survivors arrive at Hershel’s Farm, where we meet Hershel Greene (Scott Wilson); his daughter, Maggie (Lauren Cohan); and middle-aged ranch foreman Otis (Pruitt Taylor Vince). The new cast members join series regulars Andrew Lincoln as Rick Grimes, Sarah Wayne Callies as Lori Grimes, Jon Bernthal as Shane Walsh, Laurie Holden as Andrea, Jeffrey DeMunn as Dale, Steven Yeun as Glenn, and Chandler Riggs as Carl Grimes.
