Twentieth Century Fox not only released the beautiful Prometheus poster this week, but they have also just premiered a pair of remarkable one-sheets for Timur Bekmambetov’s Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, a 3D historical retelling starring Benjamin Walker as the 16th President of the United States. One feature Honest Abe as the President, the other as a hunter of the night. Awesome stuff!

In theaters June 22, 2012, “the story revolves around the president’s quest to rid the world of vampires, presented as part of the conflict behind the Civil War.

Anthony Mackie, Dominic Cooper, Rufus Sewell, Robin McLeavy, Robin McLeavy, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Jimmi Simpson and Alan Tudyk also star.The film explores the secret life of our greatest president, and the untold history that shaped our nation. As a young boy, Abraham Lincoln witnesses the shocking death of his mother, leading him on a path to an ongoing war – and ultimately to the presidency – he chronicles in a hidden diary. The journal reveals the incredible story of a clandestine warrior who never stopped fighting for the country he led and the people he loved.

‘Mountain Man’ – Joe Manganiello Will Battle Zombies in Upcoming Horror Movie

Keith C. Blackmore’s book series Mountain Man is headed to the screen, with Deadline reporting today that Joe Manganiello (“True Blood”) is on board to star in the film adaptation.

The actor will also produce the upcoming zombie movie.

Mountain Man tells the story of Gus, a lonely post-apocalyptic survivor facing isolation and the ever-present specter of a zombie attack, who struggles with alcohol abuse and suicidal thoughts until he discovers another survivor, a captivating woman who poses another threat altogether.”

John Lee (False Positive) will direct Mountain Man from a script by Matt Deller.

“John is a brilliant creative mind. We’ve been looking for the right thing to do together since we filmed Pee Wee’s Big Holiday and it’s finally here,” 3:59’s Joe and Nick Manganiello told Deadline. “Very excited to get to work on such weird, wild project with him.”

Film Bridge International is launching sales on the project in Cannes.

Blackmore’s Mountain Man series features 7 books, the first one published in 2011.
