Last week it was announced that Lionsgate was partnering with WWE Studios on a two-film deal that includes a brand new Leprechaun. Today it was revealed that the film will be called Leprechaun: Origins and will be released in March 2013.

*Update: In what must be a huge coincidence, WWE wrestler Hornswoggle (pictured below) has been cast in the title role.

The rest of WWE’s slate has also been revealed. It of course also includes TIFF film The Day, a post apocalyptic thriller starring Dominic Monaghan and Shawn Ashmore. WWE acquired the film back in September and we’ve heard little about it since. Anchor Bay will be distributing the film.

Variety reports that other titles on the slate include the Hulk Hogan starring No Holds Barred which hits DVD and other VOD July 3 via Vivendi Entertainment. The Eric McCormack thriller, Barricade, also with Vivendi, will be released on Sept. 25. No One Lives is an R-rated horror film a co-producted by Pathe (Slumdog Millionaire) and starring Luke Evans (Immortals) and WWE’s own Brodus Clay. That film is released in January.
