TV: Poster For “The Walking Dead” Season 3 Shows The Prison Backdrop

Walking_Dead_Season_3_Poster_Banner_9_5_12

Season 3 of The Walking Dead is approaching fast. Remember the key art last year that showed Rick running up to the farmhouse? This new one takes a similar approach in setting up the season’s backdrop.

In Season 3, premiering October 14, “Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and company will face a brand new threat – one that is very much human. While Rick and the gang are busy clearing out a prison in the hopes of transforming it into a protective fortress, not so far away is the town of Woodbury, Georgia, and its self-appointed leader, the Governor (David Morrissey).

Hmm not bad, waaaay much better than the other one.

Needs zombies on the poster. They get a lot of flack for not having enough zombies in the shows. Should have some on the promo posters.

You know, I really thought the first season was a mixed bag. It started off great but a lot of the writing was inconsistent with some terrible dialogue thrown in as well. The second season shut my ass up, however. The Walking Dead became the best show on TV after that first season 2 opener. I can’t wait for Oct. 17th.

Also, if you’re a Halloween fan – check out a petition I started to help bring Michael Myers back properly:

    Thanks Guys.

i like this poster! IMO it’s not as stunning as the posters for ssn 1 and 2 were but it’s not bad.

@Jhanse3, i like that the main official posters for each season don’t have zombies in them (only Rick). it’s more haunting and conveys the isolation Rick et al. are feeling (in my opinion).

that being said, i’m 1000% for them having more zombie moments on the show! lol. :)

This is my favorite, and arguably the best story arch in the series thus far.
After seeing how much this series branches away from the comic, in terms of characters involved – im really excited to see what they do with this season!!

    Michonne FTW!
