Wow. The artwork for these, especially Halloween 2, are amazing. This is exactly why I will be purchasing a blu-ray player this coming month. I guess it’s finally time to start letting go of the DVDs.

What’s funny is that the trailer for H2 shows the scenes that are cut from the TV version that AMC shows every Halloween (hammer to the security guards head; the neighbor girl who gets stabbed in the throat, etc). I have written AMC for the past several years to just blur the boobs and bleep the cursing and show the whole damn movie. There is nothing in this movie that is gorier or more obscene than an average Walking Dead episode.

    Bad-ass artwork for both covers.

Definitely picking up Halloween II on DVD (although I already own the regular version on DVD). I’ve always loved the original H2, and it’s one the few films I can watch over and over again.

But I’ll pass on Season Of The Witch. I already have it on DVD (you can easily find it at Wal-Mart for five bucks), and Season Of The Witch isn’t high on my list of favorites in the series. Despite complaints about continuity, I still enjoy the film, but Halloween doesn’t feel the same without Loomis, Myers, or Laurie. And Cochran just can’t fill the void as the primary antagonist.
