TV: [Next On] First Look At Season Opener For “The Walking Dead”
AMC has released and provided TVLine with new imagery from “The Walking Dead“ Season 3!!
The 16-episode Season 3 of “The Walking Dead” will air in two parts with the first eight hours kicking off October 14th and returning in February, 2013 with the final eight episodes.
“In the highly anticipated new season, Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and his fellow survivors continue to seek refuge in a desolate and post-apocalyptic world and soon discover that there are greater forces to fear than just the walking dead. The struggle to survive has never been so perilous.”
Season 3 also introduces new characters, including the Governor (David Morrissey) and fan-favorite Michonne (Danai Gurira), along with her zombie pets.

I honestly never thought I’d like the mid season break of TWD? But with S2, I actually appreciated it. A mid season and end of season cliffhanger really help extend out the season, plus shortening the wait between seasons makes for great moves by AMC. 8 for 2 months then 2 month break then 8 more, I’m all for with this show. (Especially since its now 3 extra eps
