Alternate ‘Grave Encounters 2′ Poster Premiere Delivers Reality Of Fear

Grave-Encounters-2-Watermarked

We’ve landed an exclusive alternate poster for Grave Encounters 2, which states that: “Fear is just a word. Reality is much worse.” In the sequel the crew from the first film has disappeared and a film student decides to go searching for them.

While researching the events depicted in the original film and the subsequent disappearance of its lead ”actor” Sean Rogerson, Alex Wright received a bizarre video from a mysterious blogger named “DeathAwaits666.” Appearing to show Rogerson still alive but trapped inside the Collingwood Psychiatric Hospital from GRAVE ENCOUNTERS, Alex and his friends agree to meet the blogger at the infamous hospital in hopes of learning what really happened. To their horror, they quickly find themselves face-to-face with unspeakable evil. Realizing that they must be smarter and faster than Rogerson and his crew to avoid suffering the same fate, they use their knowledge of the original film to do whatever it takes to survive.

John Poliquin directed from a script penned by the original’s helmers, the Vicious Brothers. Grave Encounters 2 will be available nationwide on demand October 2nd with a theatrical roll out in October.

so ripping off REC/QUARANTINE’s poster is ok?

  • Slasher_Lover23

I enjoyed the first one quite a bit. Had some creepy parts. But wow, I agree with djblack, they totally ripped off the Quarantine poster.

  • KeepDoubting

I absolutely loved the first film and I can’t wait to see what they do with this one.

  • K-Dogg

    first thing i thought DJ

Shitty poster for the sequel of an even shittier movie. Hey, Rec called, they want their poster back.

  • djblack1313

what is so perplexing is they didn’t even TRY to make it not like REC’s poster. it’s like they are proud about ripping it off.

    • Chance

What do you mean rip off? The addition of the cracked camera lens effect obviously makes this poster wholly original! (Which, incidentally, reminds me of the argument Vanilla Ice made when claiming the “Ice, Ice Baby” baseline was not a rip off of “Under Pressure”.)

      • djblack1313

        Chance, LOL. so true! :)

  • DesignDeath

It’s not really a huge deal they’re ripping off the poster concept, it looks like they’re ripping off an entire scene from a superior movie – [rec].

  • DarkestKnight

I really like the first Grave Encounters and the sequel looks cool too. The poster however is a ripoff of the final scene of REC which was in turn a rip off of the final scene of The St.Francisville Experiment. I just that’s not this movie’s final scene.

  • DarkestKnight

I meant that I just HOPE that is not this movie’s final scene.

    • Slasher_Lover23

      Don’t worry it’s not. :)
