Director and Plot Details For ‘I Spit On Your Grave 2′!

I-Spit-on

Back in August we first reported that Saw IV and Chain Letter writer Thomas Fenton would officially tackling I Spit On Your Grave 2 for Cinetel and Anchor Bay.

We’ve just landed exclusive word that Steven R. Monroe, who directed Bay’s 2010 remake of Meir Zarchi’s 1978 cult classic I Spit on Your Grave, will be returning to the helm.

While Sarah Butler starred in the modern reboot, about a writer who seeks revenge on her attackers after being brutalized and left for dead during her cabin retreat, the sequel will follow in the same footsteps. We’re told that I Spit On Your Grave 2‘s lead is named HOLLY, a Missouri farm girl who moves to New York in hopes of perusing a modeling career. Looking to update her profile for the big city, she meets three brothers who rape and torture her. They supposedly flee to another country where they bury her alive. She survives, like in the first, and exacts her violent revenge.

Shooting is scheduled to begin this November in Sofia, Bulgaria.

Man does that sound awful and in no way a sequel. This really isn’t the kind of film you do a sequel to…

My thoughts exactly while reading this.

    no…

I actually DID like the remake quite a bit, more than the original, but a sequel to it just seems flat out unnecessary. It’s like they’re just doing the remake all over again, since you know exactly how it’ll play out. Rape, Revenge, End. *sigh*

Hey man, that’s actually pretty exciting news to me. I would jump at the opportunity to shut down any remake before it was made, but since this one is here I actually thought they handled it pretty well. It had some pretty awesome stuff (Including an unrated theatrical release which was awesome). I’m down for riding out this sequel.

I don’t like the idea of a sequal but since its being done I do like this urban idea. I’m actually hoping they rename it Day of the Woman or anything else. Its the “2″ thats a killer.

Will still be better then all the Wrong Turn films combined.

  • KeepDoubting

This ranks up there with one of the most unnecessary sequels ever.

  • KeepDoubting

Sorry, not really a “sequel,” but you know what I mean.

Somebody guess, how many sequels in will it take before they go the “supernatural killer” route? Girl is raped and murdered, comes back from the dead and exacts her gory revenge on her killers.

    • D4V1D

totally. it could be “the crow” of rape/torture movies. after her revenge she can rest in peace and end shot of severed penis on headstone. possible prequel after lol.

  • VampireJack

Wow, so it’s not really a “sequel” to the remake at all.
Why not just call it Zombi 9….
