The note book of one Carrie White has made its way online and features a haunting image that depicts the following sentence written over and over: “Mama says I’m a sinner.” Asks the Facebook page: “Is this how Carrie would repent when Margaret locked her in the closet?”
Carrie is a reimagining of Stephen king’s classic horror tale about Carrie White (Chloë Grace Moretz), a shy girl outcast by her peers and sheltered by her deeply religious mother (Julianne Moore), who unleashes telekinetic terror on her small town after being pushed too far at her senior prom. Brian De Palma’s 1976 film version of “Carrie” earned Oscar nominations for stars Sissy Spacek and Piper Laurie.
Directed by Kimberly Peirce, the remake drops pig’s blood in theaters March 15, 2013.
