‘World War Z’ Apparently Still Shooting, New Pics From Set

Last week we got a look at the epic (and somehow underwhelming) trailer for World War Z. But that doesn’t mean they’re done shooting! I know that there were some rewrites done on the film’s third act by Drew Goddard, but for some reason I was under the impression that the six or seven weeks of re-shoots those pages required had come and gone (they started shooting those in late August/early September). But Just Jared has snapped some pics they claim are from the set in London today – November 15th. So perhaps this is an additional couple of days? Anyway – Brad Pitt looks fairly bloodied up in them.

Directed by Marc Forster (Quantum of Solace), the adaptation of Max Brooks’ “World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War” stars Brad Pitt, Mireille Enos, Daniella Kertesz, James Badge Dale, Matthew Fox and David Morse.

In theaters June 21, 2013, “The story revolves around United Nations employee Gerry Lane (Pitt), who traverses the world in a race against time to stop the Zombie pandemic that is toppling armies and governments and threatening to decimate humanity itself. Enos plays Gerry’s wife Karen Lane; Kertesz is his comrade in arms, Segen.

Head inside to check out a slightly bloody Pitt from set.

I’ve already seen I Am Legend. Not that good.

i hope Mireille’s character (as Pitt’s character’s wife) doesn’t die in this. i’m wondering who that woman is with Brad in that pic. i for one think the trailer was great and i literally had no interest in this movie UNTIL i watched the trailer. now i’m excited for it. i can live with a PG-13 infection/zombie movie as long as it’s high on action/intensity. plus we are going to get what no zombie/infection movie has done before…it will show us the fall (or near fall) of society from these creatures on a world wide scale. almost every zombie/infection movie starts after the destruction has happened, starts before the destruction but then doesn’t show it or skips the initial destruction altogether.

totally agree. The score look massive – and for me having zombies running without any logic to consume human flesh- thus escalating to the overwhelming scenes of zombies climbing each other and etc is a great idea. I really wanna see how this one pays off. It might be the biggest zombie blockbuster ever! I hope it has tense scenes but I am more curious how the whole thing is going to turn out!

Such a great book. At first I hated Pitt for taking a turd on it, but now I’ve saw how funny the trailer is, I might give it a go. ‘Zombies’ climbing on top of each other to bring down a helicopter? Bwah ha haaaaaaa 😀

Good maybe you can reshoot those godawful fuckin CGI infected people. And stop calling them fuckin zombies because there not. Everything else with this is so damn scary and intense then we get those god awful CGI shitstorm and it ruins the film.
