Famed rock band U2 will be releasing a From The Ground Up: U2360° Tour, a 260 page large-format hardback photobook with text from Dylan Jones and photography by Ralph Larmann. For U2.com subscribers, this book will come with a great many extras, depending on the package you choose.
For the regular subscription, you get a year subscription to U2.com, the tour book, a 15-track live CD, live downloads, four lithographic prints, four bookmarks, and a 25% discount to anything in the U2 store.
Those who choose the subscription + bundle will receive all of that PLUS the U22 double live CD set (in a deluxe booklet with notes from bassist Adam Clayton), 11 instant U22 downloads plus a bonus track, and the Zoo2Live double CD set (U2 live in Australia in 1993). For those interested, all of the information on how to subscribe can be found here.
Keep in mind that these music editions of the book will only be available through U2.com and not through any online or retail outlet. First copies will ship out in December.
Below you can see photos of the two bundles as well as read a quote from the introduction of the book from U2’s manager Paul McGuinness.
“The story of the U2360° tour is as epic as the numbers, from the seven million people who bought tickets to the logistics of moving three identical sets around continents each one taking 150 trucks to transport. Above all it was an epic experience led by the music and the show. This is the story of U2’s biggest tour to date and biggest tour of all time.”
– Paul McGuinness (U2 manager) From The Ground Up
