Ghost Putting Final Touches On Follow-Up To ‘Opus Eponymous’

NWOBHM-inspired band Ghost are putting the final touches on their sophomore album, the follow-up to 2011’s Opus Eponymous. The album, which is as-of-yet-untitled, utlized Grammy-award winning producer Nick Raskulinecz (Death Angel, Deftones, Foo Fighters, Rush) for this offering. The album has an undetermined 2013 release date.

Ghost has also announced a last-minute surprise show in their hometown of Linköping, Sweden at Cupolen. Limited tickets are available here.

I was a big fan of Opus Eponymous so I’ll definitely be keeping this release on my radar.

I like this band even though their sorta like “Mercyful fate lite”.The need to sharpen up their guitar tones though.Their too week for the kinda riffs they lay down.I’m interested to see what they do next.

I think the loose, overdriven rather than distorted guitar tones helped with the atmosphere and style of the songs. That being said, their riffs are pretty damn badass.
