Ex-Metallica Bassist Jason Newsted Releases First Single From Solo Project
Ex-Metallica bassist Jason Newsted has released a stream of “Soldierhead”, the first single from his new band Newsted. The song comes from his upcoming EP Metal, which comes out on Jan. 8th, 2013 (pre-order on iTunes here). It’s a pretty badass song, mixing elements of Motorhead and Testament into some good old fashioned thrash metal. Very fun stuff. Check it out below.

Is newstead singin on this? This aint bad at all.I expected worse because of his solo bands.Glad dude is coming back to metal.
