Slamdance recently set its special screenings program, which included the world premiere of Chad Crawford Kinkle’s horror drama Jug Face, starring The Woman‘s Lauren Ashley Carter and Sean Bridgers, along with Sean Young, Larry Fessenden and Daniel Manche. “Jug Face, which tells the story of a teen, pregnant with her brother’s child, who tries to escape from a backwoods community when she discovers she must sacrifice herself to a creature in a pit, was the grand prize winner of the 2011 Slamdance screenwriting competition.” Producers are The Woman‘s Andrew van den Houten and Robert Tonino for MODERNCINÉ.
Slamdance, launched 18 years ago as an alternative to Sundance, has alrady unveiled its competition lineup with 10 narrative films and eight documentaries — including 13 world premieres. The fest will take place Jan. 20-26 in Park City, Utah, at the Treasure Mountain Inn.
