First Official Look At ‘The Haunting in Connecticut 2: The Ghosts of Georgia’

The long awaited The Haunting in Connecticut 2: The Ghosts of Georgia (formerly Haunting in Georgia) has been slated for an limited theatrical release alongside VOD platforms starting February 1, 2013. The new model is being utilized by Dimension, Magnolia and other studios as a fun new way of releasing films. It just won’t be opening on thousands of screens. From the producers of The Haunting in Connecticut comes the chilling true story of the Wyrick family. “When Andy Wyrick moves his wife Lisa and daughter Heidi to an historic home in Georgia, they quickly discover they are not the house’s only inhabitants. Joined by Lisa’s free-spirited sister, Joyce, the family soon comes face-to-face with a bone-chilling mystery born of a deranged desire… a haunting secret rising from underground and threatening to bring down anyone in its path.

Emily Alyn Lind, Chad Michael Murray, Abigail Spencer, Katee Sackhoff and Cicely Tyson all star in the film directed by Tom Elkins (editor on The Apparition, The New Daughter, The Haunting in Connecticut and White Noise 2: The Light).

2009’s The Haunting in Connecticut made $77 million worldwide.

    No kidding! I remember when the TV show A Haunting was on Discovery and the first two episodes were hour long specials before it got picked up for the next 4 seasons. A Haunting in Connecticut and A Haunting in Georgia. Both were pretty decent stories, hell, you can probably pick the dvd with both up on amazon for $5. The 1st movie was loosely based on that Discovery episode and this 2nd movie looks like utter garbage and the title sends it over the top of stupidity for me!
