TVLine is reporting that Aliens and Pumpkinhead‘s Lance Henriksen is the latest sci-fi staple to pay a visit to “Hannibal.”
The thesp has been tapped to guest-star in an episode of NBC’s Bryan Fuller-produced drama, which is being billed as a contemporary take on the characters from Thomas Harris’ “Red Dragon” novel that focuses on the fledgling relationship between FBI agent Will Graham (Hugh Dancy) and Lecter (Mads Mikkelsen), his mentor.
NBC confirmed Henriksen’s casting but provided no details about his top-secret role.
Henriksen joins an impressive genre-drenched guest cast that includes “X-Files” vet Gillian Anderson, “Firefly”‘s Gina Torres and “Wonderfalls”’ Caroline Dhavernas.
NBC has yet to schedule a premiere date for “Hannibal.”
