World_War_Z_Blurppy_Banner_1_22_13

Blurppy has taken it upon themselves to craft up some alternate posters for World War Z. Some of them are okay. All of them are more fun than the official teaser one-sheet.

Directed by Marc Forster (Quantum of Solace), the adaptation of Max Brooks’ “World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War” stars Brad Pitt, Mireille Enos, Daniella Kertesz, James Badge Dale, Matthew Fox and David Morse.

In theaters June 21, 2013, “The story revolves around United Nations employee Gerry Lane (Pitt), who traverses the world in a race against time to stop the Zombie pandemic that is toppling armies and governments and threatening to decimate humanity itself. Enos plays Gerry’s wife Karen Lane; Kertesz is his comrade in arms, Segen.

  • Grime

Wow, they are all equally terrible.

    • TrixieMalicious

I agree. They’re kind of generic and bland.

  • djblack1313

i know i’m in the minority but i think this looks awesome! i can’t wait! if nothing else at least i’ll have the whole theater to myself when i watch it! LOL.

    • djblack1313

i DO agree w/ Grime. these are terrible posters though.

I have to say, I’m pretty pumped about this movie. Brad Pitt has proven to me time and again that when he steps out of his “sexy bamf” typecast and into a role that’s really outside his comfort zone (Se7en, Fight Club, Kalifornia, the list goes on, really) he not only delivers the goods, he exceeds expectations.

Chelsea, i’m glad i’m not alone in being excited for the movie! :)

  • Ravinus

I have mixed feelings about this movie. And, the posters are lame. I guess they fit well with the PG-13 rating of the movie.

I don’t like my zombies all flourished. I like them bloody, like crazy-bloody. It looks stupid if you ask me. Sorry, I just don’t feel anything for the film right now.

      P.S. Posters = lame.

  • Nouda

I love the poster with the building of United Nations and the one with the flags, they have a really good concept!

  • undertaker78

I absolutely love posters 1 & 5. Guess I’m one of the few super stoked for this movie.

    ALTERNATIVE, not ALTERNATE.

    • http://thefilmpolice.blogspot.com/ Armand DC

Whichever is right, ‘alternate’ is the term more widely used. You don’t say ‘alternative’ poster or ‘alternative’ trailer these days.

      • http://www.facebook.com/melissacarlill.pavlozayka Melllzy

They are two completely different words and are not interchangeable. Indeed, I do say alternative poster or alternative trailer – which was the motivation behind my pedant rage post. These days many things are widely, and inappropriately, used.

I really dig these posters, they feel like most zombie posters but that’s not entirely a bad thing. The gas mask one is my favorite of the bunch though.I am not to sure how this film will play out but it looks interesting.

  • flesheater24

I love the UN one and the biomask one the others are cheese. This movie is prob going to suck too. Just can’t get into those super speedy CGI humans. And if this is goin to be PG-13 then it’ll suck for sure. ZOmbies need to be R.

    • undertaker78

I completely disagree that zombies need to be an “R” in order to be good. Fido (2006) & Night of the Comet (1984) are examples of new and old zombie movies that are both PG-13 and entertaining.
