[TV] “Walking Dead” Star Shoots Into “Dexter’s” Life

“The Walking Dead” star Nick Gomez, pictured, announced via Twitter that he has signed on for a role in the forthcoming final(?) season of Showtime’s “Dexter.” No word on who he’ll be playing.

Yesterday, Sean Patrick Flanery had been tapped for a major recurring role on the upcoming eighth season of Showtime’s hit serial killer drama, as did veteran British actress Charlotte Rampling.

Flanery will play Jacob Elroy, the ex-cop owner of a private investigation company in Miami. Rampling will play a neuro-psychiatrist who specializes in working with young psychopaths and profiling criminals in unorthodox ways. Her role has a significant impact on next season’s story.

“Dexter” has had such huge success, it could find another season past this summer’s finale.

Calling him a “star” is a bit of a stretch. He was one of the prisoners who got killed after only four episodes.

I really hope that this is the last season of Dexter. All those recent rumors about a 9th season are really boring…
