Adam Sessler Defends Violent Video Games On Fox News

Adam Sessler, former host of X-Play and current Editor-in-Chief at Revision 3, recently had a chat with Fox News about violent video games and their effect on people. He brings up some great points about the gaming industry’s image problem with non-gamers and our society’s unfortunate history of shoveling the blame for tragedies like the shooting in Newtown, CT last month on new media. The best part of the conversation he had with Fox News, which you can see after the break, is it doesn’t get heated. Valid points are discussed, and there’s a refreshing cool-headedness about the topic that we haven’t seen enough of lately.

Have a question? Feel free to ever-so-gently toss Adam an email, or follow him on Twitter and Bloody Disgusting.

I wouldn’t say I hate Fox news. Hell I enjoy watching them more than anyone else being that its one of the funniest things on t.v.

  • GhettoWerewolf

Wow, it is nice to see a rational discussion as opposed to the usual screaming contests.

  • SelfishMan912

gotta love adam sessler, if anyone can speak in defense of video games it’s that man.

  • ThunderDragoon

This man is a genius. Love him so much.

  • Ravinus

You guys sound so intelligent hating on Fox News. I think you missed the point of this post.

thanx Ravinus, intelligent is our middle name. lol. 🙂

I’m very surprised at how professional and open-minded this interviewer was. The pigs at FOX news are usually obnoxious, agenda-pushing assholes. Adam Sessler had some great points, very well said.

  • zaglewiz

I’m not on the hate train for Fox news. They have their agendas and I’m not one to say someones stupid or anything for what they believe. I swear nowadays I feel as if I’m the last person alive that doesn’t give anyone shit for the way they choose to believe in things.

Plus Adam Sessler is a cool cat who brought up valid points even in his lone Youtube video that he posted the other day with just his opinions on the matter. You guys should check it out. I don’t want to turn this into a debate but what ever happened to hearing out both sides and trying to understand why they feel this way instead of going the route of calling them stupid?
