I guess I’m the only one, who doesn’t give a shit about The Walking Dead’s return next Sunday. It turned into a mess of shit towards the end, but American Horror Story: Asylum filled my void for horror-based shows.

I dunno. The Walking Dead has been gone for so long, and I honestly don’t have the urge to see anymore, because the hiatus kind of killed my interest level in this show. I’ll still watch next Sunday, though.

COMPLETELY agree with you. Something happened to TWD, not sure what… But its not good as it used to be. American Horror really saved horror on TV last year (and probably this year too). And I really liked Lori (probably because Prison Break), and I didnt it was a good move she gets killed off so fast on season 3…

Awww nawww Zombie Killa, and we were just becoming friends, lol. I understand that the layoff upsets some people, but I would rather have a 2 month hiatus than waiting 9 plus months for the next season.

I can’t speak for the future episodes as I don’t know what they hold per se, BUT if they are ANYTHING like the comics, you won’t be disappointed with the outcome of the Governor vs. Rick this season.

However, they will need to make a stand next season and move the Live series away from the comics. There is a stretch of comics that would lead to extremely boring television. That is until the hopeful/eventful arrival of Negan….. then holy shit we will all be in for a treat! You ain’t seen shit like this fucking nutjob!

      • Zombie-Killa

LULZ wildgator! I hope we can move past this hurdle in our ongoing friendship!

I dunno, man. I mean, I get the whole point of the layoff. It’s suppose to have you foaming at the mouth for the long awaited return, but this hiatus had the COMPLETE opposite effect on me.

Although, me having no knowledge of the comics is a good thing, because I can still expect some shocking surprises.

Oh come on. Negan is just the Governor all over again. Same deal. Same situation more or less. TWD is starting to get long in the tooth as far as the comic series goes. I love the comic series but its GOT to move beyond its current circular habit of ‘find group, group seems good, trouble happens, leave group, move on, find group, trouble happens, leave group, move on…’ Something like WWZ, maybe the Govt DOES reform and starts taking back America slowly like in WWZ, who knows. Just SOMETHING to actually propel the damn story ahead just a LITTLE.

Unfortunately, I have to agree. I was the biggest fan up through season 2. When I watched the first half of season 3, I watched episodes if I remembered to, but I never made it a regular thing every week. I am not really salivating for the return, I feel like I have just slowly lost interest, and the hiatus pretty much killed it for me. I will be buying the Blu Ray though, just to have it next to the first 2 seasons.

Damn, the zombie make-up on this show consistently impresses me. I think its the best I’ve seen since the Dawn of the Dead remake.

  • weresmurf

I knew it. That’s just the bike zombie girl all over again…

    • weresmurf

i.e. I was wondering how long it was going to be til they started recycling the zombie makeup due to AMC being tightarses…

    • djblack1313

weresmurf, how so? do you mean her face or ??? we can’t see her body (if it’s like Bicycle girl’s torn apart body).

      • weresmurf

The head. Obviously not the body. It’s not a bad thing to reuse makeup designs, obviously there’s going to be only so many, or maybe I’m completely wrong and its just coincidence, but putting them side by side its like the head is just being reused?
