Punk rockers The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus have announced that they will be releasing a new EP entitled Et Tu, Brute? on Mar. 15th. The EP will be produced by David Bendeth, who produced the band’s first album Don’t You Fake It, which was released in 2006.
The band has also released a stream of one of the tracks “You Can’t Trust Anyone These Days”, which you can hear below.
The band must’ve put some thought and effort into all of this because everything just lines up too perfectly. The EP name is a reference to Caesar’s last words (according to Shakespeare) after his assassination on March 15, the Ides of March. And the name of the streaming track is in reference to Junius Brutus, one of the conspirators behind the assassination who was also a trusted friend of Caesar. Pretty clever, if I do say so myself.
