NWOBHM pioneers Black Sabbath have released a video showing the band in the studio recording their new album. It is the first Black Sabbath album with Ozzy Osbourne on vocals since 1978’s Never Say Die!. The recording lineup features original guitarist Tony Iommi and original bassist Geezer Butler with Rage Against The Machine drummer Brad Wilk recording as a session musician. The album is being produced by Rick Rubin (Metallica, Slayer) and will be released this year.
The video plays off almost like a mini-documentary with interviews from each of the members (sans Wilk). They all detail what this album means to them, with Osbourne stating, “This Black Sabbath album is quite possibly the most important album of my career.
