Ashley Greene Looks Beastly In Movie With ‘Random’ Title Change

The Weinstein Co.’s recently renamed Random (previously Kristy, then previously Satanic) has unveiled to EW the first pic of Ashley Greene ( Twilight, The Apparition) in the production. I’m sort of confused, this movie is supposed to be a “psychological thriller” but all I can do is laugh.

Oliver Blackburn (Donkey Punch) directed the film from Anthony Jaswinski penning the script. The film is currently shooting in New Orleans and also stars Haley Bennett and Lucas Till. Apparently, Greene is the leader of the gang. Thankfully, the piercings are fake.

The film, “described as a ‘Rosemary’s Baby’ type thriller, the story follows a girl who is alone on campus over the Thanksgiving break when a random encounter with a gang of violent outcasts leads them to target her as their next victim. To survive, she must conquer her deepest fears to outwit them and fight back.

Head inside for a better look!

Way to kill my excitement for a film. Somebody please correct me if Im wrong, but when “Kristy” was first announced it was said to be along the lines of “The Strangers” as a hardcore slasher and rumored to star Emma Watson (would love to see her in horror movies). Now its become something completely different in my eyes. If I have this movie confused with another please let me know because I sure hope so. I won’t pass too much judgement on this until I see more, but so far Im not impressed. And what type of horror film title is “Random”? The irony is just too much for me lol random indeed.

You’re not wrong. Originally they described it as being Strangers esque.

Okay I thought so. This was the “Final Girl” movie I was really looking forward to out of the other ones. Now, Im not so sure.

This is so not what they were describing it as. Now I’m glad Emma Watson isn’t in it. She does need to be in some horror movies though. Hopefully Del Toro’s Beauty and the Beast has some good horror elements like his other movies.

How the fuck is this thing going to be anything like Rosemary’s Baby?! On the other side of things, how many tweens actually know wtf Rosemary’s Baby is and why do they think that is a good selling point?

I just saw this movie tonight and it was very Stranger-esque. I felt that vibe the entire movie and because I’ve dormed in college before, I can say that the college campus setting is a great place for horror.
