Device Releases Official Video For “Vilify”

devicevilifyvideobanner

The official video for Device‘s “Vilify” is now out and you can watch it below. The heavily stylized video was directed by P.R. Brown (Otep, Stone Sour, Filter, Staind) and features footage of the band performing as well as a woman (who looks like a mixture of the Borg Queen and Neo from the Matrix when he wakes up in the real world for the first time) covered in some black substance. The song comes from the band’s upcoming self-titled debut album, which comes out Apr. 9th (pre-order here).

Device is the new project from Disturbed‘s David Draiman and features Filter‘s Gene Lenardo on guitars. Guest appearances on the album include Lizzy Hale (Halestorm), M. Shadows (Avenged Sevenfold), Tom Morello (Rage Against The Machine) and more.

Draiman has a great voice, just wish he’d lose the staccato singing style in every song. More interested in the guest appearances now than I am the rest of it.

J-Sin, gotta agree with ya on the part of anxiously awaiting the guest appearances….I gotta admit, I liked Disturbed’s 1st 2 albums, then they went wayyy downhill, each album getting shittier, you know , like those movie sequels that are so bad they kind of diminish even the good 1st 2 movies just because. I mean, when their debut album hit, I loved it, it’s still a fairly ok listen, but not like before.
