Everyone in Philadelphia screams: “Duh, yes!”

Bloody Disgusting readers in Philadelphia, clear your calendars for the night of Sunday, March 17 – yes, this coming Sunday – as we’ll be hosting a very special screening of TriStar and FilmDistrict’s Evil Dead at the Pearl Theater (1600 N Broad St) in Philadelphia.

The movie doesn’t open in theaters until April 5, so you guys are one of the first stops on this very special tour that will bring director Fede Alvarez to your theater for a rare Q+A session!

Seating is limited, but FREE, so get your clicker to this link to be one of the first on planet Earth to see the remake to Sam Raimi’s 1981 cult classic. Seating is on a first come, first serve basis, so get your asses in seats early to guarantee a bloody good time.

In the film, five twenty-something friends become holed up in a remote cabin. When they discover a Book of the Dead, they unwittingly summon up dormant demons living in the nearby woods, which possess the youngsters in succession until only one is left intact to fight for survival.

This movie looks like hard-core horror madness & a crowd-pleaser. It’s gonna be GREAT.
People need to see that not all “Remakes” are a BAD thing. Look at John Carpenter ‘s THE THING, DAWN OF THE DEAD, & I even liked the Friday The 13th remake. The Chris Nolan BATMAN reboots were also Exceptional . I’m still waiting on a reboot version of Escape from New York ( Snake Plissken is so Bad-ass), The Warriors ( come out to Playeeeyaaay!) .
And again,…. Where in SATAN’s Rotting Scphincter is HALLOWEEN 3-D!!!??

Any chance there’ll be a giveaway for the Minneapolis screening?

Why is it that I am reading about every city BUT NYC? Seriously?!? NY fans would make this the event of the year! You really need to consider a NYC screening, preferably at the Lincoln Center Theater. That would be amazing!
