Red Band Trailer For ‘Kick-Ass 2′ Shows Hit Girl Getting Down To Business
Ya’ll have been waiting to see what director Jeff Wadlow has up his sleeve for the follow up to Matthew Vaughn’s Kick-Ass, and it’s finally here, red band style. Here’s the first trailer for Kick-Ass 2.
The sequel brings back Aron Johnson and a grown up Chloë Grace Moretz in the lead roles, with Jim Carrey playing the villain, Colonel Stars and Stripes. The film is set for release this August.

I flipped over to another site and watched it and have to say it looks pretty fun. I really dislike Carrey and his over-the-top acting but this looks like something new for him and I kinda like what he brought. This is coming from the guy that cried by himself when Carrey was announced for this project.
I love Chloë and this looks AWESOME but how funny is it going to be to see her go from Hit-Girl to Carrie? Lol I will be seeing this, loved the first one.
Saw this earlier today….and WOW. I. Can. Not. WAIT for this movie! Sucks Nic Cage is gone, because Big Daddy was the highlight in part one, in IMO. But Jim Carrey is AWESOME in this trailer, so hopefully he’ll fill void.
But I can’t stand Christopher-Mintz Plasse. He annoyed the shit out of me as Red Mist, and Mark Strong was a MUCH better villain. The Mother-Fucker? Seriously???????
And am I missing something, or wasn’t the original title supposed to be Kick-Ass 2: Balls To The Wall. I mean, if they changed it, I can understand why, but still.
Big Daddy was the best character of Kick-ass for sure. If you didn’t know, Nicolas Cage should appear in the sequel for a short time.
About Motherfucker – Red Mists transformation is based on the second serie of the comics. And he was unbelievebly cruel bastard there, so I hope it will reflect in the movie.
Ah, didn’t know that about Red Mist/Motherfucker. And more Nic Cage in part 2! Yes! That’s great news for me!
i am LOVING the Hit-Girl fights/action parts but i really REALLY hope Jim Carrey’s parts are limited. i don’t want this to be the Jim Carrey chewing scenery movie. and i’m praying the awesome John Murphy is returning to score some of the music like he did in the first film. his music (re-worked tracks from SUNSHINE & 28 DAYS LATER) made the movie epic!
