Screen Media Acquires Indonesian ‘Modus Anomali’

Screen Media Films announced that it has acquired all North American rights to Joko Anwar’s horror/thriller Modus Anomali. The film had premiered at the South by Southwest Festival in 2012 as one of its Midnight selections.

Modus Anomali is an Indonesian production about “A man on vacation in the woods with his family when an unexpected guest suddenly arrives. After experiencing a time lapse, the man wakes up, buried in a grave and separated from his family. He then follows pre-set alarm clocks and other clues in a race against time to figure out the truth and save his family.

Screen Media plans to release the film on DVD, Video on Demand and other ancillary markets in August, and will be included in the company’s new horror label, Screen Media Darkside, which launched in Fall 2012.
