Alice In Chains Announces Release Date For ‘The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here’: Begins To Reveal Album Artwork

Grunge rockers Alice In Chains has announced that their fifth studio album, The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here, will be released on May 14th. It is the follow up to 2009’s Black Gives Way To Blue. Below are some song titles.

In addition to the release date, AiC has begun unveiling the official album artwork through a pretty interesting means. Fans have to tweet at the band in order to peel back a layer of red that is overlaid on the image. Below is a beginning image and one of the current state of the reveal.

Also, and this is pretty awesome, Blabbermouth user TheSorcesressKnight has come up with a rather interesting theory on the full cover reveal, which shows that the dinosaur skull, when mirror-imaged and laid over top of itself, creates the head of the Devil. Thus, “the Devil put dinosaurs here”.

The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here songs:
Low Ceiling
The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here
Lab Monkey
Hung On A Hook
Pretty Done
Breath On A Window
Phantom Limb
