5 New Images From ‘Evil Dead’ To Tide You Over!

Evil_Dead_Banner_3_23_13

I saw Evil Dead, the Fede Alvarez-directed remake of Sam Raimi’s 1981 classic, again last night and it confirmed my feelings about the first screening. Not a perfect movie (some rough spots in the beginning), but once it gets going it’s such a f*cking blast it’s unbelievable – which is why I’ve been calling it a “near perfect experience.” Anyway – here are 5 more pics to tide you over!

Starring Jane Levy, Shiloh Fernandez, Lou Taylor Pucci, Elizabeth Blackmore, Jessica Lucas, Bruce Campbell, “five twenty-something friends who become holed up in a remote cabin where they discover a Book Of The Dead. An archaeologist’s tape recording reveals that the ancient text was discovered among the Khandarian ruins of a Sumerian civilization. Playing the taped incantations, the youths unwittingly summon up dormant demons living in the nearby woods, which possess the youngsters in succession until only one is left intact to fight for survival.

Head inside to check them out! Evil Dead hits April 5th.

Nice makeup work. The forest looks nice and creepy as well. So far my excitement is still through the roof.

It’s just not fair how long it’s taking for April 5th to come, I mean COME ON APRIL 5TH !!!! Lol

Is the girl turning into freddy ?

Just wondering if I even need to see this movie anymore. After all the trailers and pictures that come out every half hour you have pretty much seen the movie. It’s almost like they think no one is excited about this movie. I officially quit looking at stuff as of 2 and half months ago. Want to see the movie not watch and point out what will happen next from the trailers.

I wanna see this so badly I almost feel embarrassed…

      These are great!

i admit i’m a tiny bit disappointed with the Abomination’s looks as well as Deadite Eric but i’m not going to let that ruin the whole movie! even though i posted them i DO always wonder why B-Rolls come out before the movie! lol. they basically tell you EXACTLY who dies, what the creatures look like, etc, etc. LOL.

        • Scorpionsy

@djblac1313 – Yes, that was what I meant by my last comment (didn’t notice you already added another comment about the B-Roll here)…but see what I mean? You ruined stuff for yourself you should have kept to the way they were meant to be seen in the movie, dude!

But at least now that the damage is done, you are getting a sense of WHAT I was saying about how the new Deadites DID NOT IMPRESS ME…but still I am waiting for your full response after you watch the whole movie. :)

Again, other people who do not want MAJOR SPOILERS….please stay away from watching these B-Rolls for now until after you view the movie itself. You are just ruining the movie for yourselves that way. Fair Warning!

          • djblack1313

Scorpionsy, i definitely see what you mean now! lol. i’m still excited to see this but i’m glad i’ve seen this footage so i can keep my expectations at a reasonable level. if i hadn’t seen any of this B-Roll stuff i would have had my expectations WAY too high. at least now i can reconfigure them and go in and just enjoy the flick!

    • Scorpionsy

@djblack1313 – Man, I saw these yesterday late at night already but decided NOT to mention them because they contain HUGE MAJOR SPOILER SCENES…why did you post them?! You should have warned others of the major spoilers in them.

I have seen the movie already so no problem for me (and they are great…but people should watch them AFTER they see the movie)…including yourself, djblack1313…I am sure you ruined some scenes for yourself now that you have seen how they were shot and the practical SFX etc. (yes, they have the “time to go to sleep” scene from the trailer..but still should be watched after the movie…unless for those who do not mind stuff this MAJOR being spoiled for them).

WARNING AGAIN: if you do NOT want to ruin scenes from the movie for yourself…DO NOT WATCH the B-Roll clips…they HAVE HUGE SPOILERS!

      • djblack1313

Scorpionsy, to be fair, people are grown ups (god willing) and it’s not rocket science (i’m not trying to be snarky towards you!) that B-Roll footage always has spoilers in them. always have, always will. people can always turn off the vids at any time. my posting them gives people the choice to view them or not. you might say i’m PRO-CHOICE. :)

        • Scorpionsy

@djblack1313 – Buddy, I was not trying to point any fingers at you or anything. Sure, people have a choice…but some people still (believe it or not) do not know still what a B-Roll is or what it incorporates. All I am saying is you should put MAJOR SPOILERS warning for those who do not know and watch it…then might come after you…LOL! :)

          • djblack1313

Scorpionsy, LOL. no worries. it’s all good. :)

          • Scorpionsy

            Yeah, I know. It’s all cool! :)

          • Scorpionsy

Anyone notice how Mia’s face is half burnt in the close-up photo but her ear is fully intact..no burn scars. LOL! Why do they ignore the ears in the makeup process? They did that also with Cheryl in the Evil Dead…if you look at closeup pictures of her freaky scary face in the celler…you can see her ear is not decomposed or with bad skin. In fact…she has a nice ear-ring still on that ear. Haha! It was the low budget maybe back then, but what about this remake…no excuse for the multi-million budget. :)

        • Scorpionsy

Oh, and I agree 100% they should not be releasing any of these B-Roll clips before the movie comes out at all…it is just really silly to potentially ruin the magic to people who have not watched the movie yet.

          • djblack1313

Scorp, i’m torn. i agree it ruins the magic or whatever but i’m actually glad i know now what the deadites look like as well as the abomination. yes, i’m a tad let down in how they look but i can now go into it with expectations in check! :)

          • Scorpionsy

Yeah, sorry you had to feel this way about Evil Dead…but as you said (don’t repeat my mistake) and go in with high expectations…the lower they are the better you will enjoy the movie overall for what it is. At least you can look forward to other Deadite looks…not that I think they are better in any way….but at least there is something forward to look to for you when you watch it.

          • djblack1313

            the only Deadite i haven’t seen yet is Natalie’s. but yeah, i agree w/ you 100%! :)

          • Scorpionsy

@djblack1313 – yeah…but Natalie isn’t the only other Deadite in the movie either ;)

  • Scorpionsy

LOL! Didn’t mean to but that comment in the other reply above..so here goes again:

Anyone notice how Mia’s face is half burnt in the close-up photo but her ear is fully intact..no burn scars. LOL! Why do they ignore the ears in the makeup process? Mia’s wearing nice panties with that see-through nightgown though. ;)
