[TV] Next On “The Walking Dead”; Promo and Clips From Episode 3.16 “Welcome to the Tombs”; Season Finale!

Airing next Sunday, March 31 is the season finale of The Walking Dead, episode 316 “Welcome to the Tombs.” In the episode, Rick and the others consider the defense of the prison as the Governor’s impending attack looms. Check out the promo for the big finale below. In the sneak peak footage, Carl reminisces about life before the apocalypse.

In addition, we also have a few inside two looks at tonight’s episode, “This Sorrowful Life,” which takes us behind-the-scenes as Rick and the others learn that if they want a truce with the Governor, they must make a sacrifice.

In the ongoing third season, Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and his fellow survivors continue to seek refuge in a desolate and post-apocalyptic world and soon discover that there are greater forces to fear than just the walking dead. The struggle to survive has never been so perilous. Season 3 also introduced new characters, including the Governor (David Morrissey) and fan-favorite Michonne (Danai Gurira), along with her zombie pets.

The show was recently renewed for its fourth season.

I have loved this show from the start. I’ve read all the stuff from the haters. That’s cool, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. My opinion is that this is one of the most emotionally wrenching seasons of television I have ever seen. Who knew I’d be crying not once, but twice at the loss of characters this season. Keep up the good work for the finale and keep the tempo up going into next season!

That was a genuinely excellent episode tonight. Merles redemption was fantastic. Apparently Gimple, the new showrunner was to thank for this. With this episode and the one where they saw Morgan, under Gimples belt, he’s PROVEN he knows how to do character exposition and evolution properly. I fully welcome him being the showrunner for season 4 onwards now 😀

Tonights ep actually surprised me by being pretty damn good. I’m not a fan of the writing during the second half of this season and there were some dopey points here and there but this was an example of what the show can do when it’s on.

That episode and episode 13 were done by Scott Gimple, so there’s obviously no coincidence now, when the 2 best ones of the season turn out to be by him, that season 4 very well may be in very good hands?

weresmurf, i didn’t know this (regarding Gimple). i’m excited to see what his season 4 will be!

Excellent episode! Can’t wait for next week’s finale. Also, let’s talk about the fantastic nod to the original Dawn of the Dead! “Plaid zombie” made an appearance tonight and it was awesome!

my heart broke at the end for Daryl. Norman’s acting was top notch. it was wonderful to see Daryl have overt human emotions! sad it was at such a cost.

i’m nervous about next weeks finale. they are saying “several people die”. i think Hershel (my favorite) will die. maybe Beth. possible Carol (i love Carol). i really wish the Gov would die but only because i’m really tired of him (not in a good way).

Seems like very few people noticed the Dawn of the Dead zombie appearance.

While I did enjoy the episode this week, the dialogue still has a long way to go. Excellent Dawn homage with the flannel zombie. I wonder if the best idea isn’t to kill them all off except Rick and look to start over with a new group perhaps of Woodbury survivors.
