Super Weird: Metallica’s “Nothing Else Matters” Redone In Major

Metallica‘s “Nothing Else Matters” will always hold a special place in my heart because it’s the song that made me want to learn guitar (along with the 2nd solo in “Comfortably Numb”). I spent hours and hours practicing the song and to this day it’s something I pull out and play very readily.

So when I heard this major version of the song, I felt more than a little off. I am so used to hearing the song in a minor key and letting the melancholia and sadness was over me that hearing it “happy” is completely throwing me off. It’s not completely perfect and there are some parts where the software obviously got a bit confused but it’s a damn good indicator of what the song would’ve sounded like had it been written as happy. Head on below to check it out.
