CHUD is reporting on a pretty insane casting rumor that, if proven true, would be a brilliant step for Marvel.
Says the site their trusted industry source tells them that Marvel is eyeballing someone that they already have a relationship with for the lead in a confirmed Phase Three projects: Dr. Strange.
Justin Theroux may not only pen the screenplay, but also star as Stephen Strange, Sorcerer Supreme.
And while we’re talkin comics, why not drop the news that “The Walking Dead’s” Michael Rooker will reteam with SLiTHER director James Gunn on Guardians Of The Galaxy, Deadline reports. He will play Yondu, who in Marvel lore was a game hunter of a primitive tribe native to Centauri IV, the first planet system to be colonized outside of the Sun’s solar system. He eventually bands together with fellow fugitives to form the superhero team. Chris Pratt already has been cast, and Disney plans an August 1, 2014 release date.
