Wyatt To Tackle Dead Horror Directors In ‘Night Film’

Rupert Wyatt (Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes) is attached to direct Night Film, based on the upcoming novel by Marisha Pessl.

Night Film will be produced by Peter Chernin, whose Chernin Entertainment acquired the rights to the novel (which hits shelves later this year).

The book, “tells the story of an investigative journalist named Scott McGrath who begins looking into the death of a beautiful young woman that was originally deemed a suicide. The woman turns out to be the daughter of a reclusive, cult horror film director named Stanislas Cordova, and McGrath finds himself on a journey of revenge and truth.

No studio is attached yet. Chernin has an overall deal at Fox, so perhaps it will land there.
