Teen Slasher ‘Until Dawn’ Might Not Require A PlayStation Move After All

What’s in the box (art)?!

Last August, Supermassive Games unveiled their PS3 exclusive stab at the teen slasher subgenre with Until Dawn. It looked good, except for that whole PlayStation Move bit. I have nothing against the Move, but requiring the peripheral to play the game places a pretty substantial limit on your audience.

Today, the game’s box art was revealed, and where I was expecting it to say “PS Move required” it actually says “PS Move compatible” That’s not necessarily a solid confirmation on whether or not it will require the peripheral, but it gives those of us who never bought a Move some hope. I’ll update when Sony confirms either way. In the meantime, you can feast your eyes on the box art, in all its broken flashlight glory, after the jump.

i certainly hope it doesn’t require a Move. the game looks really cool and i prefer traditional style controls. and i agree that it would be a bad move from a sales point of view to make it a “Move only” game.

I prefer regular controls too so this seems like a good thing.
