The new Daft Punk album Random Access Memories is perhaps one of the most anticipated upcoming albums amongst many of my friends. After all, it’s been eight years since their last album, 2005’s Human After All. With the release of their new single “Get Lucky”, which features Pharrell Williams, I’ve seen my social networks blow up and the song posted what feels like every five minutes. Admittedly it’s a really catchy song, so I can’t really complain.
However, YouTube user Maim Ixed found out something a little interesting. By pitch shifting the song up, adding in some “Shamonas”, “Hee-hee’s”, and more, the song sounds like it could’ve been a brand new Michael Jackson single. It’s actually a really convincing edit. Head on below to hear the original as well as the Michael Jackson-remix.
