[SDCC ’13] NECA Reveals “Albino Predator” Comic-Con Exclusive!

AFI exclusively broke the news Monday morning on the first of NECA’s many San Diego Comic-Con exclusives.

Taking place July 17-20th, convention attendees will have the chance to score the “Albino Predator” action figure. The figure is released to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the breakthrough fan film “Batman: Dead End” by Sandy Collora in which the Albino Predator makes an appearance.

The toy will feature over 25 points of articulation including ball jointed hips and double knee joints. He has brand new shoulder armor and unique Albino deco along with tribal markings/tattoos.

This is the first time I’ve heard of that fan film. I have to watch it. I had no clue that they could make action figures from fan films. Really cool.

Oh, this was a different kind of fan film. After the suck of ‘Batman and Robin’, DC comics hired Sandy Collora to do this short film to only be shown at the comic con to test audience reactions to a new Batman film, a new Predator film, and a new Alien film. And it was (still is) way the Hell cool. Before that, she had only done VW Beetle commercials. Check it out:

Watch the short post haste, it is really good (and really cheesy). I am surprised I haven’t heard/seen more from the director -the production value is great!
