‘Aftershock’ Red Band Trailer Will Rattle You With Gore

In limited theaters May 10 from Radius is Aftershock, Nicolas Lopez’s horror film starring Eli Roth, Selena Gomez, Ariel Levy, Nicolas Martinez, Lorenza Izzo, Natasha Yarovenko, Andrea Osvart, and Miguel Asensio.

After being acquired out of the Toronto Film Festival last September, the flick will get a limited release alongside Ultra VOD, much like Magnolia’s release strategy.

In the middle of a night of wild partying, a hapless American tourist (Roth) and his friends are suddenly plunged into a living hell when a powerful earthquake rips through the coastal town of Valparaíso, Chile.

While I wasn’t a huge fan of the film, Evan Dickson felt differently – and it’s jam-packed with gore for those who love to see the red flow. The newly released red band trailer will give you a taste.

    Could be good

the tsunami part sold me on this. it looks Sy-Fy Channel-ish but also looks like fun (kind of).

    • weresmurf

Same but I get this BIG feeling they just gave away the kicker at the end of the film for some reason…

  • Julian Nunez

Like DJ said, it has that sy-fy look. The cinematography looks pretty cheap, as do some effects. I like Eli Roth but this doesn’t look too good imo.

  • eagleye25

Looks wicked. I think the not-so-great effects adds to the film’s charm personally.

  • BabyJaneHudson

Looks just ridiculous enough that he’s obviously not trying to be hardcore horror. Fun times.

  • Blood-Sicles

Warning- this trailer spoils the end of the movie.

  • ThunderDragoon

This looks like a fun one. I still love the club scene because it reminds me of Final Destination. I’ll definitely be watching this.

  • Zombie-Killa

Ugh, I can’t wait for this. Lots of carnage and extreme gore. I can’t wait!

  • Grime

This looks terrible. Horror movies are getting worse every year.

    • Bucknutz666

Couldn’t have said it better myself!!

  • diapers

Looks fun and cheesy! Sign me up!

  • H666

saw it at FrightFest in Glasgow – it’s fun but kinda silly and that trailer shows waaaay too much

  • OldSchoolHorror

All of you are wrong, I saw this at Eli Roth’s personal premiere last night in Hollywood at the Chinese Theatre and it was GREAT! I knew it would be fun but i thought it would be corny too, it wasn’t. For it’s budget, it looked and felt like a big multi million dollar movie. Story was good, acting believe it or not was great and the gore was awesome. Yes, the trailer did spoil a certain scene but who cares, it doesn’t ruin anything. If you want to see a fun movie to where there’s unexpected turns and not the same predictable bs studios put out now a days, go see this and support Eli Roth and Nicolás López.

*also the effects were really great along with the cinematography, NOT SyFy style…you all will be surprised on the quality of this. There wasn’t a corny moment at all to it
