‘Rapture-Palooza’ Poster A Match Made In Hell

Here’s the official one-sheet to go along with the first still and red band trailer for Paul Middleditch’s Rapture-Palooza, which Lionsgate will release in limited theaters and on VOD platforms June 7. The poster is absolutely hideous.

Anna Kendrick, John Francis Daley, Rob Corddry, Craig Robinson and Ken Jeong all star in a new end of the world comedy from Lionsgate.

When the Apocalypse actually happens and a billion people are raptured up to heaven, Lindsey (Anna Kendrick, Pitch Perfect) and her boyfriend Ben (John Francis Daley, TV’s “Bones”) are left behind in suburban Seattle. The young couple tries their best to lead a normal life surrounded by talking locusts, blood rain showers and pot-smoking wraiths. But when The Beast (Craig Robinson, TV’s “The Office”) makes his home base in their neighborhood, Lindsey finds herself the object of his affection. With the help of her family, friends and a lawn-mowing zombie neighbor (Tom Lennon, TV’s “Reno 911”), the young couple set off to stop the Anti-Christ from taking her as his bride…and just maybe, saving the world in the process.

Looks like a quirky rom com poster – not a good thing. Can’t watch the trailer here in Canada, not sure I want to now…

Agreed, poster isn’t making a good sell with me either. Makes it look like another trendy Paul Rudd movie. To bad,, I do like the trailer and apparently there advertising department does not.

why are you guys so uptight? The trailer actually looks pretty funny and it’s just a dark comedy with a hella awesome twist!
