[E3 2013] You Can Get A Smaller Xbox 360 Right Now

When the Xbox 360 launched, it essentially killed the original Xbox. To prove history won’t repeat itself when the Xbox One releases this November, Microsoft has redesigned the Xbox 360 to be smaller and run more quietly. They’re also taking a page out of Sony’s book by offering two free games a month to Xbox Love Gold subscribers, starting with Halo 3 and Assassin’s Creed II.

On top of all that, Microsoft claims there will be “hundreds of games” that will come to the console over the coming years. The Xbox One will likely become their focus in the near future, but it’s good to hear they’re going to continue supporting the Xbox 360.

That’s good, because as of right now I’m leaning on holding off on the new consoles. Hopefully the new SW Battlefront which was just announced launches on current consoles, but I doubt it.

Now this is the one that befuddles me….. why go through the process of making another SKU on the 360 with less than 6 months before the Xbox One launches?? Are they trying to liquidate parts inventory?? Sounds like they are going to try to milk the 360 like Sony did with the PS2.
