[Exclusive] Members Of The Marazene Machine And Ministry Form New Band

Bloody-Disgusting has gotten a video teaser that announces the formation of a new band called Pretty In Purgatory. The video features footage and music from their upcoming EP’s lead track “Voices”, which is apparently influenced by the 2008 Pascal Laugier-directed French horror film Martyrs.

Guitarist/producer Nikk Skum states, “The age of the ‘album’, the era of ‘business models’, the societal expectation of ‘grow up, go to school, find a job and get married and have kids’, is a thing of the past. This is a debt based slave system of deception and social control. People are waking up from the ‘Matrix’, and are very very pissed off.

Micaela Purgatory, vocalist, adds, “When you have been stripped of everything, it’s then you can find the inner beauty that has been masked by the ugliness of the world. For the readers on this site who have seen the movie ‘Martyrs’, that is what I’m talking about.

Head on below for the announcement video.

Formed in early 2013 by vocalist Micaela Purgatory and Nikk Skum (The Marazene Machine), the group also features percussion contributions from Aaron Rossi (Ministry, John 5, Prong). An EP and full tour are expected in early 2014.
