Even More Creature Stills From ‘Frankenstein’s Army’!

Dark Sky Films has provided us with a handful of creature stills from writer-director Richard Raaphorst’s Frankenstein’s Army, arriving on VOD and in select cities July 26th.

Filmed in Prague and recently having its World Premiere at the Rotterdam International Film Festival, Frankenstein’s Army marks the feature debut of Dutch director Richard Raaphorst, and has already received high critical acclaim.

In the waning days of World War II, a battalion of Russian soldiers find themselves lost in enemy territory. Stumbling upon a village decimated by an unseen terror, they discover that a mad scientist (Hellboy’s Karel Roden) conducts experiments to fuse flesh and steel, creating an unstoppable army of undead soldiers. Leaderless and faced with dissention amongst their dwindling ranks, they must find the courage to face down an altogether new menace – or die trying.

The highly anticipated film, which recently screened to acclaim at the Tribeca Film Festival, is a co-production of MPI/Dark Sky Films, Los Angeles-based XYZ Films and Pellicola of Amsterdam.

i just realized, is this movie ripping off WORST CASE SCENARIO? this is an amazing video (one of 2 trailers)…

the creatures are nearly identical in overall look as well as the Nazis and so forth.

The trailer for ‘WCS’ says “A Richard Raaphorst Film,” could he have bagged ‘Worst Case Scenario’ and actually produced ‘Frankenstein’s Army’ from the same concept?

      It’s the same director

“Richard Raaphorst, known across The Netherlands as one of the country’s top commercial directors, made his first international splash in 2006, when his Worst Case Scenario internet shorts became instant viral sensations. The clips propelled the writer, director, and designer to genre superstardom”
