The Director of The Wicker Man, Robin Hardy has approved The Final Cut as the finest and most complete version of the film.

This 40th anniversary edition is every Wicker Man fan’s perfect ending to a much mythicized search for the most complete version of The Wicker Man. Having left no stone unturned for the opportunity of uncovering any of the original film materials, the ghosts have now been laid to rest, as we can finally and happily confirm, that this is the Final Cut.

Starring Edward Woodward, Christopher Lee and Britt Ekland, “the pic is about a devout Christian policeman (Woodward) who is summoned to a remote Scottish island to investigate the disappearance of a child. While there he uncovers a bizarre pagan cult, led by Lord Summerisle (Lee). As preparations for a sinister ritual celebration reach fever pitch, the policeman begins to realise what role the islanders intend him to play.
