Josh Brolin Prepares To Nail In Some ‘Oldboy’ Violence

FilmDistrict shared with EW a new look at Spike Lee’s Oldboy, which should hammer in the new Thanksgiving November 27, 2013 release.

The pic starring Josh Brolin, Elizabeth Olsen, Sharlto Copley, Samuel Jackson, Bruce Hornsby and James Ransone “is a provocative, visceral thriller that follows the story of an advertising executive (Brolin) who is abruptly kidnapped and held hostage for 20 years in solitary confinement. When he is inexplicably released, he embarks on an obsessive mission to discover who orchestrated his bizarre and torturous punishment only to find he is still trapped in a web of conspiracy and torment.

    So I really like the original Korean film, but for this remake are they going to keep the same plot twist as the original, because I know general US audiences who think this is a normal action revenge flick won’t like the twist, I WONT RUIN IT FOR ANYONE, but for those who have seen the original are they going to keep it like that or go more along with the manga or tone it down or what?! Personally I liked the F’d up stuff in the original one because I was just like wow…
